Educational Sessions

Finding Joy in Stressful Situations
Dr. Dawn McNeil, RT (R) (M), RDMS, RVT, CRA, FASRT
Program Coordinator Radiologic Technology
Rasmussen University Ocala

Radiology Management can often be very stressful. The everyday rigor of managing patient safety, employee satisfaction, stress, burnout, and even ergonomics can lead to a joyless work environment. Add in the recent pandemic and staff shortages, and it can become difficult to find happiness to go to work each day. The purpose of this course is to identify ways to understand stressors and develop ways to overcome them while also finding joy in your work environment again. Hopefully that joy will spill into your personal life and help you remember the goal of delivering quality patient care through diagnostic imaging.

Leaders, be ready. Very recently the World Health Organization (WHO) announced that COVID-19 is now an established ongoing health issue and therefore no longer a public health emergency of international concern. The United States (US) also marked the end of the Federal COVID-19 Public Health Emergency (PHE) Declaration. As the US healthcare market rebalances from the pandemic, leaders in all sectors are awakening to new normals and future realities. This session will review several key areas that are top of mind for healthcare leaders today. Realizing a future not foreseen, wondering is the future now.
