Sudbury, MA, November 15, 2018 – AHRA: The Association for Medical Imaging Management is pleased to announce the appointment of Daniel Kelsey, MBA, CAE, as the new Chief Executive Officer. Founded in 1973, AHRA represents the professional interests of almost 6,000 imaging leaders at all levels of hospital imaging departments, freestanding imaging centers, and group practice throughout the U.S. and around the world.

In his new role as CEO, Dan will be responsible for leading AHRA’s dedicated team of professionals while increasing the value of the organization to its members, donors, sponsors, partners and other stakeholders. He will lead the efforts to expand the organization’s programs while growing and strengthening its membership base.

“Dan’s strategic drive, distinguished career in the association management community, and passion for membership make him the perfect choice to lead AHRA and help shape the strategic focus and advocacy efforts of the next phase of its development,” said Bill Algee, AHRA President. “We’re thrilled to welcome Dan aboard.”

Dan brings more than 20 years of strategic planning, business development, and management experience in association and non-profit organizations. He previously served as the Deputy CEO at the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists where he led the organization in the development of digital apps, oversaw the efforts to redesign its educational programs to generate non-dues revenue, and worked closely with a team of 50 staff with an annual budget of $14 million. Prior to that, he served for 14 years at the Indiana State Medical Association, including eight years as the Director of Membership and Practice Advisory Group.

“As a veteran of the healthcare association world, I’m very excited to join AHRA, the preeminent organization for imaging leaders, who set and live up to high standards for quality care and innovation,” said Dan. “All of my professional experience will enable me to enhance AHRA’s commitment to member success and education, advocacy, and certification. I look forward to upholding the AHRA’s strong priorities and financial soundness, while expanding its reach to increase the impact and awareness of the organization.”
