AHRA Announces Cancellation of March Spring Conference in San Diego, CA

Sudbury, MA, March 6, 2020 -- AHRA, The Association for Medical Imaging Management, announced its decision to cancel their 2020 Spring Conference scheduled for March 26-28 in San Diego, CA out of an abundance of caution and based on the latest scientific data available regarding the transmission of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19).

AHRA President, Chris Tomlinson stated that “in consultation with the AHRA Board Executive Committee, meeting leadership, and staff, the difficult decision to cancel the meeting was deemed necessary.”

“The health and well-being of our meeting attendees, staff, vendors, and the AHRA community are our primary concern,” said Tomlinson.  Additionally, many AHRA members who are frontline medical imaging managers and critical to their health organization’s operations, are not permitted any non-essential travel at this time. “We believe it’s important that key healthcare leaders aren’t displaced during a critical time.”

Registrants may choose to receive a refund, or to exchange their Spring Conference registration for the AHRA’s Annual Meeting & Exposition scheduled for July 12-15, 2020 in Boston. Further information and updates will be posted on the AHRA website, www.ahra.org.
