Balancing Vulnerability and Logic to Lead Your Team

Imaging leaders are faced with a myriad of challenges and as such need to manage situations differently. How do you know when to lead with your heart versus your left-brain? Are you comfortable putting one of the other first as situations dictate? Do you have the freedom to be an authentic leader without recourse? In this session, we will review the need for imaging leaders to lead with vulnerability and the situations where we need to ensure the left-brain is turned on. Since it is not as easy as it seems to be, we will discuss the barriers that prevent us from leading with authenticity and vulnerability as well as becoming aware that our default style is potentially ruining our ability to be effective. At the end of this session, you will learn strategies to balance leading your team with both vulnerability and logic and address your operational and personnel challenges.

You will learn to:

• Identify the need to lead with vulnerability in imaging
• Discuss situations to engage with left-brain logic
• Recognize barriers imaging leaders face in leading with vulnerability and logic
• Identify your default leadership style
• Apply strategies to balance leading with vulnerability and logic
