NEW Research: State of the Radiology Staff Experience

Wednesday, December 11, 2019
2:00pm-3:00pm EDT

Sham Sokka, PhD., Head of Marketing, Precision Diagnosis, at Philips

The subject of physician burnout – especially among radiologists – has become a major topic of discussion lately. What is less discussed is the staff experience of imaging technologists and administrators. In this webinar, Sham Sokka, PhD., Head of Marketing, Precision Diagnosis, at Philips, will discuss the results of a double-blind research study with 254 radiology techs and imaging directors in 4 countries (US, Germany, France and UK).  Through qualitative and quantitative research methods, the study assessed radiology technologist and imaging director impressions across a broad range of subjects related to their daily work life. The study details significant levels of stress and burnout across all four countries – with what may be described as “crisis levels” in some geographies. Dr. Sokka will share these important research insights as well as imaging industry perspectives for addressing them and ideas about what imaging leaders can do today.

Attendees will learn:

  • Factors contributing to job satisfaction
  • Sources of stress and burnout
  • Communication and information gaps
  • Confidence in imaging systems operation
  • Reasons cited for not getting the image right the first time
